How to get on a Lucid Cycle
If you want to know how to get your ass on a Lucid Cycle, here is the typical way it’s going to go down:
1. Check out Site
Take a look around. Make sure you dig what you see.
2. Make Lucid Contact
Feel free to contact me once you have an idea of what you might like. This is easiest by telephone, email or in person. Come and visit if you can. Be prepared to drop some very basic information on me in the first conversation such as:
• Type of frame or bike you’re interested in.
• Whether you are looking for a frame, complete bike.
• What is the best way to get in touch with you?
It is typical to have multiple conversations at this point as a multitude of options are discussed. Some details are finalized at this point but not all, as it is impossible to foresee every possible eventuality that comes up during the design and construction process with a full custom bike. At this point I can give you a relatively good idea of how long it will take to get you on a Lucid.
3. Send Deposit
The first small step for man is to send a place holding deposit of $150. Unless you have a really sad story this deposit is non-refundable. At this point your place in line is welded in steel. As the build date approaches we need to bring the deposit to roughly 50%. This deposit is used to buy the parts needed to create your custom Lucid Cycle. The best way to send us a deposit is by U.S. mail.
• By Mail: Mail is still the most popular method for most of our customers. Either a check or money order made out to “Kristofer Gray” and mailed to:
• Lucid Cycles P.O. Box 951 Park City, Ut. 84060
The 50% deposit is non-refundable once I order and cut the first tubes.
4. Fitting
Fitting is done here at the Park City Studio. If you are unable to come check us out in person you can fill out the fit sheet. Once the forms have been filled out carefully, check measurements again errors can drasticly effect on how your Lucid fits and rides. These forms can be emailed or mailed with your deposit.
5. Anticipate
All good things come in time. Patience is a virtue. Think of it kind of like Christmas. Once I have your deposit and sizing information, I can start designing and building your new bike. At this point, I will usually know when your bike will be ready. The wait time usually depends on:
• The number of lucky customers in front of you
• Time to get your tube set and parts in stock
• Time to design and build your new Lucid
• Time for paint or powder coating
• shipping time to you
6. Final Payment
As I am finishing your new bike, you will receive a bill for the final amount to be paid. Payment options are the same as for paying the deposit. You can pay me in person and pick up your bike at the same time.
7. Shred
Once you have your custom Lucid Cycle the next steeps are easy.
• Ride
• Ride long
• Ride hard
• Ride often
